Pricing
In pricing our adventures, we try to achieve a balance between simplicity
(a base price pertaining to the offering that fits most travelers' needs)
and flexibility (supplemental fees for add-on services and special exceptions).
Details on all pricing categories are provided below.
Base Price
The base price for all adventures includes a Pre-Departure Packet, double occupancy accommodations in
three-star hotels, breakfasts, welcome meeting, luggage transfers (for biking and hiking
adventures), maps, route directions, emergency support phone line, and in-tour
transfers as indicated for each tour. This is a per person price for all tours. Dinners, lunches, personal expenditures, transportation to and from the tour, and gasoline (on driving tours) is not included.
Luggage Transfer
All self-guided biking and walking adventures are priced with luggage transfer
included. If you do not wish Zephyr in-country personnel to port your luggage
from location to location, you may opt out of this service. The price of your
adventure will be decreased by $20 per tour night. There is no luggage transfer on
the driving adventure.
Hotel Upgrade
There is a $50 charge per person for each night an upgrade is available.
Upgrades include a change from three-star to four-star hotels.
Single Supplement
The single supplement is per-tour charge of $60 per night for an individual to have his/her own room.
Solo Traveler Supplement
The base price for all adventures assumes at least two participants.
A Solo Traveler supplement of $250 for hiking and walking adventures and $100 for the
driving adventure is assessed for participants traveling alone. This covers the
increased costs per person of the Welcome Meeting, Luggage Transfers, and making hotel reservations.
This supplement is applied in addition to the Single Room Supplement. Because of difficulty reading the route directions while driving, we strongly recommend a minimum of two people participate in the driving tour.
Bike Rental
Renting a bike on Biking Adventures is optional and you can choose to bring your own instead. The cost of bike rental is $25 per biking day. (Some tours have no biking on the initial day.)
Child Discounts
Children aged 12 and under will receive a 25% discount on the Basic Tour and optional Hotel Upgrade if they stay in the same room with two full-paying travelers.
Transportation To and From the Tour
Getting to and from the tour location is your responsibility. We will provide you with information upon registration for a tour on how to reach your tour start via public transportation.
