Reservation Policy
Our Rationale
We work hard to create great trips, to be fair with our hotels and other
suppliers, and to provide excellent service to our customers. Our deposit,
cancellation, and supplement policies are designed to accommodate everyone's
needs: our suppliers', our customers', and ours. Thanks for your understanding.
Minimum Age
Guests younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a relative or another adult
empowered to act as the minor's guardian. Whether your child is old enough to participate in a self-guided walking or biking holiday depends entirely on your child's fitness level and maturity. For Driving Adventures, the driver must be at least 21 years of age at time of rental.
Group Size
All of Zephyr's Self-Guided Adventures have been planned for parties
of two to 14. We will gladly accommodate solo travelers, however, additional costs will apply as indicated on our
Pricing Page. Please contact us for further information about groups
in excess of 14 travelers.
Deposits & Payments
Registering for an adventure requires a $400 deposit per person payable by check or any
major credit card. The remaining amount due must be paid by check or credit card 60 days prior
to the trip departure. Please note we reserve the right to treat your
reservation as cancelled if your final payment is not made when due.
If you sign up for a trip 60 days or less before the departure
date, the entire trip price must be paid by credit card.
Cancellations
If you cancel your reservation with 46 days or more advance notice, you can
apply all payments made to another Adventure in the same calendar year or the
year following. This includes Zephyr Self-Guided Adventures as well as
any guided tour or learning camp operated by
Zephyr Adventures.
If you cancel with 45 or fewer days advance notice you forfeit
all payments made.
Insurance
We highly recommend trip cancellation insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen
circumstances. Every year there are unfortunate incidents with dozens of travelers
that make it impossible for them to join our Adventures. Many of these people lose
their trip and airline payments. Even if you do not think this will happen to you,
it can! We will send you information after booking on trip cancellation insurance
and health insurance while you are abroad.
Pre-Departure Information
After we receive your deposit we will send you an electronic packet with detailed
arrival and departure information, suggestions for making travel arrangements,
packing list, invoice, insurance information, information about the area we will
be visiting, and liability waiver.
